Darngooddesign wrote:What compatibility issue are you talking about?Basically any camera released in the last 8-9 monthsDoes it not work with the camera you had when you bought it?Yes, but not all of my cameras. I shoot two systems.Nikon and Fuji.Did you buy a camera not on its supported list and now are upset that it is not supported?no, upset that nothing new has been added. Updates are only available for 1 year after purchase, then you have to pay again. What did they say when you contacted the company? They are a small company and it takes a long time for updatesDoes the application no longer work?depends on which camera I am usingIs there a bug you have only just discovered?noAre they not updating it for newly released cameras?no. I agreeI've renewed my subscription and there has not been anything for me since renewal. Nothing (bug fixes)CP1 and LR are not updated every year with a subscription, so there is no expectation around updates, however there are free updates within the particular version. (Excluding monthly subscription model of course)I had contacted them prior to renewal and was told there was an immnient release, so I decided to renew.
I'm coming to the end of the year and won't be renewing again. As someone said, the software still works, but I do feel hard done by based on what I was told.

The project involves a challenging combination of programming and mathematics, so it is taking some time to pull all the pieces together. But we are working as hard as we can to get it to the point where customers can benefit from it.That note has been up there at least since March this year, maybe even earlier.I am using the current functionally limited version. I like how it can fill the whole screen with the image and still have tools at the left side and other bars sliding into/out of view when needed.

The sharpness is good although occasionally I notice artifacts in plants which do not occur with RawTherapee. Also the controls are a bit cumbersome and it generates preview files for every settings you save.Actually when I rename the 'preview' files to JPG they can be used for web images, but on my computer the colors are slightly more green than what it shows inside the program.
Not sure why. But this worries me for the real output.

I can request a trial period to check that. But I'd rather do that for the upcoming major version. I had some correspondence with them recently and they assured me that they are currently working on a new and improved version of the SW with many new features. They have a small team, true, but I agree that it is taking longer than anybody would want.
If it is any consolation, Adobe has virtually unlimited resources and they still haven't got the X-trans processing right (too busy managing the cloud and counting the money?). But they are catching up.It seems that Fujifilm owners are condemned to waiting. Elyharbour wrote:Can anyone confirm that PN opens and processes X30 files? Am about to buy one. I bought it and not a single meaningful update in a very long time. No support for cameras that are not considered new anymore. They say they are working on a v2 but provide no information on progress. What a waste. This is the same thing that happened with NoiseNinja. After about a year, a year and half, no more updates. I got started with PN by taking them up on the discount mentioned above. I think that's a reasonable upgrade path and that we shouldn't fault them for putting their limited assets on the new product. Have you tried getting support or updates for your Windows ME lately?Dick.

Have you tried getting support or updates for your Windows ME lately?DickI was a Noise Ninja customer long ago (2006).
Moved over to Topaz after that, also years ago. But last year I wrote to PN to see if there was a time limit to get a discount to Photo Ninja (and that I lost my original code). They wrote back and said no problem and found and sent my User ID and Keycode to upgrade at a discount. Exactly one year ago as my subscription for updates expires today. When they have the major update I will likely upgrade then but still use PN as that is my main raw converter which I use with Photo Mechanic and Photoshop CS6.
